Treatment & Toner

Refresh tone and rebuild bonds between color appointments.

À La Carte

A Treatment & Toner is the perfect in-between service for guests with existing color who want to refresh tone and rebuild bond strength without committing to new foils. It's a small investment that extends the life of your full color significantly.

Color shifts. Hard water, sun, chlorine, even your shampoo — they all nudge your tone warmer or duller over time. A Treatment & Toner is the reset button: deep conditioning that actually penetrates the cuticle paired with a refresh on the tone you fell in love with originally.

We use it as a midway-point service for color clients and as a standalone for guests who just want their hair to feel like itself again. Either way you leave shinier, softer, and a half-step closer to the color you remember.

Every treatment & toner at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.

Mill & Mane sits in downtown Tipp City, Ohio, and a typical treatment & toner guest is driving in from Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, or the north side of Dayton. We keep the chair count intentionally low so the attention stays on the head in front of us, not the schedule behind it.

You'll feel at home in this chair if you're brassy or warm tones creeping back in, hair that feels dry or fragile, and stretching the calendar between full appointments.

Why it matters ·Brassiness isn't a sign your color was wrong — it's a sign the tone needs refreshing. Getting ahead of it with a quick gloss is cheaper, gentler, and faster than re-foiling to ‘fix' a tone problem.

Tone fades long before color does. This is the appointment that closes the gap.

What a treatment & toner looks like, start to finish.

Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.

  1. Assess the canvas

We check tone and integrity, then mix accordingly.

  2. Tone

Toner is processed under careful monitoring.

  3. Treat and finish

Bond builder and a smooth blowout.

Every treatment & toner at Mill & Mane includes custom-blended toner, k18 + Olaplex bond treatment, and cleanse, condition, and blowout finish — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.

Keeping your treatment & toner between visits.

To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: add a weekly purple or hydration mask as recommended. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.

Questions guests ask before booking a treatment & toner.

Will this turn my hair purple?
No — our toners are custom mixed to neutralize, not over-correct. Purple shampoo at home is a blunt instrument; a professional toner is targeted to the exact tone shift your hair actually has.
How often should I book this?
Every 6–8 weeks between full color appointments is a common rhythm. It's also a common add-on for the visit right before a wedding, photoshoot, or vacation.
Is this the same as a gloss?
The toner in this service *is* a gloss — custom mixed to your hair rather than pulled off a shelf. The added bond treatment is what separates it from a standalone gloss service.
Can I book this on freshly colored hair from another salon?
Yes, but tell us at the consultation. We'll take a strand test if we need to and only proceed if it's the right call.
