Cut + Style

A precision cut tailored to your texture, lifestyle, and grow-out.

À La Carte

Every cut at Mill & Mane starts with a real conversation — about how you style your hair, what frustrates you, and what your day-to-day actually looks like. We cut for shape that lasts, not just for how it looks the second you leave the chair.

A great cut is the difference between a haircut that styles itself and one you fight every morning. We start by looking at your hair dry — how it falls, where it bends, where it's thickest — because wet hair lies about almost everything that matters.

From there the cut is built to your face, your routine, and how much time you actually have in the morning (not how much time you wish you had). The style at the end isn't the goal — the goal is that you can recreate something close to it on your own, in your own bathroom, on a Tuesday.

Every cut + style at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.

Mill & Mane sits in downtown Tipp City, Ohio, and a typical cut + style guest is driving in from Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, or the north side of Dayton. We keep the chair count intentionally low so the attention stays on the head in front of us, not the schedule behind it.

You'll feel at home in this chair if you're a refreshed shape that grows out gracefully, reframing a length you've grown bored of, and anyone tired of fighting their hair every morning.

Why it matters ·Most cuts that grow out badly weren't cut badly — they were cut to the inspiration photo instead of to the head in the chair. We cut to your hair's actual behavior so the shape holds long after the blowout fades.

If you've ever loved a cut in the chair and hated it on Tuesday morning, that's a styling-instruction problem, not a cut problem. You'll leave knowing exactly how to dry it — not just what it looks like when someone else does it for you.

If you can't style it at home, I didn't cut it right.

What a cut + style looks like, start to finish.

Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.

  1. Talk it through

What works, what doesn't, and what you actually want to wake up to.

  2. Cut to shape

Dry or wet depending on what your texture needs to see.

  3. Finish and teach

We finish the look and show you exactly how to recreate it.

Every cut + style at Mill & Mane includes consultation, shampoo and scalp massage, precision cut, blowout and finish, and styling tips to recreate at home — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.

Keeping your cut + style between visits.

To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: trim every 8–12 weeks to maintain shape and use a heat protectant before any hot tool. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.

Questions guests ask before booking a cut + style.

Do you cut curly hair?
Yes — let us know when you book so we can plan a dry cut where it makes sense. Curly and wavy hair reads its true shape when dry, so we cut it that way and only wet-refine at the end.
Do you cut men's hair?
We take a limited number of men's cuts by referral from existing guests. Call and we'll let you know what our current calendar looks like.
How often should I come in for a trim?
Every 8–12 weeks is the sweet spot for maintaining a shape. Guests who are growing hair out benefit from a light dusting every 10–14 weeks — enough to keep the ends clean without giving back the length you're trying to earn.
Can I add a blowout tutorial?
It's built in. We walk you through the products, tools, and technique so you can recreate the finish at home — not just admire it in the mirror before you leave.
What if I don't love it?
Tell us before you leave the chair. We'd rather adjust in the moment than have you second-guess it in the parking lot.
