Our Story
About Mill & Mane

Why we're here
A boutique built for real life.
Founded in 2026 by Lauren Noll, Mill & Mane began as a single chair and a big idea: that a hair appointment could feel less like a transaction and more like a small, restorative ritual. Today we're a small team of stylists who share a commitment to honest recommendations, healthy hair practices, and looks that grow out beautifully.
Every guest receives a thorough consultation, every color is tailored to you, and every visit ends with the products and tips you need to recreate it at home.

The Space
Warm tones. Soft light. Inviting aura.
The space is light, warm, and uncluttered by intention — terracotta tile, plaster walls, brass details, and windows that make everyone's color look incredible.
- ◆Clean, low-tox color lines
- ◆K18 + Olaplex bond builders
- ◆Low-waste salon practices
- ◆Complimentary new-guest consultations
What we believe
Three things we won't compromise on.
Honest consultations first.
No upsells, no scripts. If a shorter service is the right call for your hair, that's what we book — even when a longer one is on the menu.
Healthy hair is non-negotiable.
K18 and Olaplex are built into every lightening service, not sold as an add-on. If we don't think a look is safe for your hair today, we'll tell you and map the path to get there.
Grow-out is designed in.
Every placement is planned for how the color will look at week ten, not just the day of your appointment. Beautiful today, still beautiful in three months.
Meet the founder
Lauren Noll.
Six years behind the chair, thousands of consultations, and one strong opinion: a hair appointment should leave you feeling more like yourself, not less. Lauren trained with lived-in color and hand-tied extension specialists across the Midwest before opening Mill & Mane in downtown Tipp City in 2026.
“The salons I loved renting in respected the guest, the stylist, and the craft in equal measure. I built Mill & Mane to do the same.”
Who we serve
A boutique studio for the Miami Valley.
Most of our guests drive in from Tipp City, Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, Piqua, Englewood, Beavercreek, Kettering, Centerville, Oakwood, Springboro, and Dayton — often for services that are hard to find done well locally: dimensional lived-in color and hand-tied extensions with a maintenance plan that actually protects the hair. The studio stays intentionally small because that's the only way the work stays the way we want it.
