Hidden Bead maintenance is for guests with our most discreet installation method. The hardware is fully tucked, the wefts lay impossibly flat, and the result is virtually undetectable — even when worn up.

Hidden Bead is our method for guests who want extensions but don't want any visible attachment points — even when their hair is up. The beads are placed deeper in the hair, color-matched precisely, and oriented so they disappear under everyday styling.

It's the install we recommend for guests with finer hair, anyone who works out hard, and anyone whose default style is a high ponytail. The trade-off is a longer install appointment — the payoff is never having to think about how your hair is pulled back.

Every hidden bead at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.

Extension guests travel to our Tipp City studio from across the Miami Valley — Troy, Piqua, Vandalia, Huber Heights, and greater Dayton — because a thoughtful install and ongoing maintenance plan is the difference between extensions that protect your hair and extensions that punish it. We keep the day's schedule light around extension appointments so nothing about the install gets hurried.

Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.

Every hidden bead at Mill & Mane includes full removal and refresh, hidden bead foundation reset, restitch with existing wefts, and cleanse and blowout — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.

To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: loop brush morning and night. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.

Why is this maintenance more?
The Hidden Bead installation is more intricate and takes longer to execute correctly. Both the removal and the reset require precise placement so the hardware stays fully tucked. The price reflects the chair time honestly, not a markup.
Is Hidden Bead worth the extra cost?
For guests with fine hair or anyone who wears their hair up frequently, yes — it's the difference between an install you occasionally worry about and one you forget about. For everyone else, standard beaded rows are typically the right call.
Can I switch from a standard install to Hidden Bead later?
Yes. Guests often start with a standard beaded row for their first install, decide they love the method, and move to Hidden Bead at their next full reinstall. We plan the transition at the maintenance visit before it.
How long is the maintenance appointment?
Plan for 2–3 hours per row. Full head installs with multiple rows should be scheduled as a half-day visit — we don't rush this method.
Do I still need Restitches on this method?
Yes — every 5–8 weeks. The Hidden Bead method is a version of Restitch, not a version of Slide Up, so the maintenance rhythm is the same as a standard Restitch cadence.
