À La Carte
Whether it's a wedding, a milestone birthday, or a photo session that's been on the calendar for months, an Event Style is built to last from morning through last dance. We'll match the look to your outfit, your event, and how much volume you actually want.
An event style isn't just hair — it's the part of getting ready that decides whether the rest of the day feels calm or rushed. We build in time to talk through the look, do a quick test section, and adjust before we commit. No surprises in the mirror, no ‘that's not what I meant' moment ten minutes before you're supposed to walk out the door.
Every reference photo gets a real conversation. Some looks won't translate to your hair type, and we'd rather tell you that across a coffee than leave you disappointed at the chair. What we land on together will photograph beautifully and survive every hug, dance, and outdoor portrait the day throws at it.
Every event style at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.
Mill & Mane sits in downtown Tipp City, Ohio, and a typical event style guest is driving in from Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, or the north side of Dayton. We keep the chair count intentionally low so the attention stays on the head in front of us, not the schedule behind it.
You'll feel at home in this chair if you're weddings — bridal or guest, engagement and family photo sessions, and galas, reunions, and milestone birthdays.
Why it matters ·The reason event styles fall flat by 7pm isn't usually the style — it's the prep. We pre-stretch, layer the right hold products, and pin into the structure of your head shape so the look survives hugs, photos, and a full evening.
If you've had a previous event style fall flat by dinner, the fix is almost always in the prep, not the pin work. We build the structure to hold for ten-plus hours of hugging, dancing, and photos — without it looking ‘done.'
“By the time you put your dress on, your hair should already be the thing you're not worried about.”
What a event style looks like, start to finish.
Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.
Share your vision
Bring photos and we'll talk through what will actually work with your hair.
Prep the canvas
Your hair is prepped specifically for the style — sometimes day-old hair is best.
Style and set
Built to last, photographed beautifully, and comfortable to wear.
Every event style at Mill & Mane includes style consultation with inspiration photos, shampoo or refresh as needed, custom updo, half-up, or polished blowout, and long-hold finish for all-day wear — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.
Keeping your event style between visits.
To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: pack bobby pins and your favorite hairspray for touch-ups. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.
Questions guests ask before booking a event style.
- Do you do bridal trials?
- Yes — we recommend a trial 4–6 weeks before the event. Bring your veil, headpiece, or any accessories you'll actually wear so we can see how they sit. Trial and event day are booked together so we hold both spots on the calendar.
- Can you travel to the venue?
- For weddings, on-location styling is available for a small number of dates each season. Ask when you inquire and we'll tell you honestly if the date is still open.
- How early can you start on the wedding morning?
- As early as the timeline needs. We usually plan backwards from the first-look or ceremony start and add buffer for photos, so no one is finishing in the getaway car.
- Can you style the whole bridal party?
- For parties of four or more, we bring in a second stylist so everyone is finished on the same timeline. Send us your rough headcount and event window and we'll build a schedule.
- Will it last through the reception?
- Yes. We build event styles to survive dancing, hugging, and a Miami Valley humidity forecast — with a small emergency kit of pins and hairspray you'll take with you.
