Full Blonding
A full transformation for maximum brightness and coverage.
Color Services
The Full Blonding is our most comprehensive lightening service — a full head of foiling using a combination of techniques to lift evenly from root to end. It's designed for guests stepping into a noticeably brighter, more dimensional blonde, whether you're starting from virgin hair, growing out a previous color, or finally going for the look you've been saving on your phone.
Most of the guests who book a Full Blonding have been thinking about it for months. They've saved the same three photos. They've watched a stylist friend on Instagram and wondered if their hair could do that. They've maybe tried a box at home and quietly regretted it. By the time they sit in our chair, the question isn't really about color — it's about whether anyone is going to take the time to get it right.
We treat the Full Blonding as a single project with one goal: lift evenly, protect integrity, and finish with a tone that flatters you in every light. That sounds simple until you've sat through a service where it wasn't done that way — patchy roots that grow out badly, brassy mid-lengths a week later, ends that feel like straw. The reason this service costs what it does is because we refuse to cut the steps that prevent those outcomes.
Every full blonding at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.
Most guests booking a full blonding with us drive in from Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, and the north side of Dayton because finding a colorist who will actually slow down — map the lift, respect the previous color, and refuse to over-process — is harder than it should be. Our studio in downtown Tipp City was built specifically to make that pace possible.
You'll feel at home in this chair if you're first-time blondes ready to commit to a brighter look, guests with significant regrowth or banding to correct, anyone going lighter than two levels from their current color, and special events, photoshoots, or a true reset year.
Why it matters ·A full lightening service done quickly is the single most common reason guests show up at a new salon asking us to fix their hair. Bond protection, careful sectioning, and custom toning aren't add-ons here — they're the entire point.
If the pause in your head right now is about damage, you're in the right room. We won't lift hair past what it can safely hold in one session — and we'll tell you that across the consultation, not halfway through a foil. The plan you walk out with might be one visit or it might be two; either way, it'll be a real plan.
“Going blonde shouldn't feel like a gamble. By the time you leave, you should know exactly how the color will grow out and what to do at home to keep it.”
What a full blonding looks like, start to finish.
Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.
Consultation
We talk goals, lifestyle, and maintenance honestly — including a realistic timeline if multi-session work is needed.
Sectioning & foiling
Strategic placement to create dimension at the root and brightness through the mid-lengths and ends.
Processing
Carefully monitored under heat so every foil lifts to the same level.
Toning & glossing
Tone is custom mixed to your skin undertone — never one-size-fits-all.
Treatment & finish
Bond builder, hydration, and a polished blowout you'll want to recreate at home.
Every full blonding at Mill & Mane includes in-depth consultation and tone mapping, full head of foiling with mixed lightening techniques, k18 + Olaplex bond protection built into the lightener, custom-blended toner and gloss, bond-rebuilding treatment, and cleanse, condition, and finishing blowout — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.
About the investment
Pricing starts at $375 and scales with hair length, density, and the level of lift required. Going significantly lighter sometimes requires more than one session to protect hair integrity — we'll always tell you up front rather than overpromise in one visit. You'll leave with a written game plan, not a surprise.
Keeping your full blonding between visits.
To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: wash with a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo (we recommend at consultation), use a weekly bond treatment between visits, heat-style with a thermal protectant — always, and plan your refresh appointment 8–12 weeks out. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.
Questions guests ask before booking a full blonding.
- Will my hair be damaged?
- We build K18 and Olaplex into every lightening service and we don't push hair past where it can safely go. If you're not a one-session candidate, we'll map it out across visits.
- How often will I need to come back?
- Most Full Blonding guests transition to a Partial Blonding or Face Frame Blonding every 10–14 weeks once the foundation is in place.
- Can I bring inspiration photos?
- Please do. The more references, the better — including a couple of looks you'd never wear so we know where the line is.
