The Mini Foil sits between a Face Frame Blonding and a Partial Blonding. It's face-framing brightness plus a handful of foils through the parting — enough to blend grown-out dimension without committing to a full head of color.

A Mini Foil isn't a smaller version of a bigger service — it's the appointment we built for the in-between months. You came in eight to ten weeks ago, your color is still beautiful, but the brightness around your face has softened and the ends are asking for a refresh. We meet it exactly where it is.

Because we're working with what's already there instead of starting from scratch, the appointment is shorter, the investment is lighter, and the result reads as effortless rather than ‘freshly done.' That's the point. Real lived-in color stays lived-in by being maintained on a quiet, regular cadence — not by being rebuilt every visit.

Every mini foil at Mill & Mane is performed by Lauren Noll and built on bond-protecting chemistry, careful sectioning, and the kind of unhurried pacing that most guests tell us they haven't experienced at a salon in years.

Most guests booking a mini foil with us drive in from Troy, Vandalia, Huber Heights, and the north side of Dayton because finding a colorist who will actually slow down — map the lift, respect the previous color, and refuse to over-process — is harder than it should be. Our studio in downtown Tipp City was built specifically to make that pace possible.

Every appointment moves through the same considered sequence — never rushed, never templated. Here's how the time in the chair is actually spent.

Every mini foil at Mill & Mane includes face-framing foils, part-line foils for blend, custom toner, bond protection, and cleanse and blowout — all of it built into the price you see, not stacked as add-ons at checkout.

To protect what we just did, we'll send you home with a quick routine: color-safe routine and weekly mask. None of it is complicated — most of it is about doing two or three things consistently instead of ten things sometimes.

Questions guests ask before booking a mini foil.

Can I alternate this with a Partial Blonding?
Absolutely — many guests alternate them throughout the year to save chair time and budget. A common rhythm is a Partial Blonding in spring, a Mini Foil mid-summer, and another Partial Blonding in fall.
How is this different from a Face Frame Blonding?
A Face Frame Blonding is face-frame only. A Mini Foil adds a few well-placed foils through the parting so the brightness reads across the top of the head, not just around the face.
How long does it last?
Most guests stretch a Mini Foil 10–14 weeks with a gloss refresh in between. Fine hair sometimes goes longer; coarse or fast-growing hair sometimes shorter.
Will it damage my hair?
Every foil at Mill & Mane is mixed with K18 and Olaplex built into the lightener — because a small service done carelessly is still damage. We won't push a foil past where the hair can safely go.
